Today was hot and muggy. Storm clouds gathered at around 4pm and suddenly huge fat drops rained down, eventually turning into large hailstones. Within a few minutes the edges of the roads were flooded, the stormwater drains overflowing, and then, just as suddenly as it started, everything stopped.
I went outside and was surprised to find the weather still stiflingly hot as the dark, glowering storm clouds moved off to the east. It felt a little like Asian monsoon weather.

I was quite excited to see the rain coming, thinking the vegies were going to get watered. Now the sun is out again!
