How did you spend your New Year?
Despite the unseasonably cool weather, we relaxed at a lovely little beachhouse near Apollo Bay, on Victoria's Surf Coast.
The surf was too wild for Gus to swim in the sea, so we spent a lot of time among the rockpools at the end of the beach.
Gus and Snoopy didn't mind the rain.
Our evenings were spent lounging in front of a crackling wood fire, with fine food and wine, and soft jazz.
Now that's how I like to start the year!

Ahhh sounds like a wonderful place. Hope you get to enjoy it for a long time : o )
Sounds absolutely fabulous. Happy New Year.
Such wonderfully expressive pictures, Juddie!!! I loved looking through them, and can't wait for more in 2009! Glad you and your family (including those incredibly stealable doggies!) are enjoying your surroundings...
Great photos of the beach and rock formations!
How did the dog learn to climnb trees??
What fabulous photos - you have really captured the beauty of the surf coast.
That hat ... let's go back and look at his hat ... oooooo ....
Yes ... my husband has a slight hat addiction. He has many, many 50's-style winter and summer hats, as well as an ever-growing collection of 30's style caps for daywear and cycling. I like them though :-)
That looks like the perfect place to spend new year!
