Every girl should have some ....

Today I finally collected the cherry red patent leather shoes that I ordered from a shoemaker in Sydney last year. I guess it's no big deal for people who can buy pretty shoes (in their size) from any shoe shop, but my options are limited to drag shops or clumpy non-fashionable footwear most of the time. Hooray for new red shoes!

Godfrey started work on making a hat rack today - we do need a place to store the hat collection that keeps on growing (don't even ask how many woolen caps are also in the drawers .....)

Gus is now supervising as I (belatedly) try and get stuck into my study - I think he's trying to look stern and serious.

Those shoes are fabulous. Where exactly did you get them. I have size 11 feet so I totally understand about the lack of shoe choices. Apparently San Francisco is the place for us big footed ladies (and drag queens) to purchase our shoes - or so I've heard anyway.

Glad to hear your art swap is coming along in amidst all the other things you have on.

Ooh Juddie these are gorgeous! Are they from Andrew McDonald? They look fabulous!
I just put a pair of red sandals on Lay-by at Kumfs. The style is Viper - i had it in salmon-colour a couple of years ago and it is such a smart and comfy shoe. (although nowhere near as glamorous as your new reds!) Do you ever shop at Kumfs? -they go up to size 44, and have funky and cute shoes and a few quite elegant too. (They also have some very daggy ones -don't look at those!)
Enjoy your new shoes, Love Kirky xx

Have you ever seen this site? Make your own shoes. Doesn't look too difficult to make basic shoes...

Thanks K for the suggestions. I have some boots from Kumfs, but again, they don't make the cutest shoes in my size ... really infuriating, as I know they make the clumpier ones in larger sizes. I thought the 'Zoot' dress-shoe model would be cute for everyday wear when I saw the catalogue, but they don't make 'em big enough for me :-(
