Dear Juddy, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving so many nice comments. I must admit this is the first time I see the ginkgo as a whole tree for the first time in my life. I know the name and shape of leaves but I nevewr realized the whole tree. So these pictures are very cool to me. Thanks Renata
Yes m.heart - I do remember from my horticultural studies that we were advised not to plant female ginkgo trees in public places as the fruits smell horrible! Male trees are definitely the way to go!

I can see why that are your favoourite!
gorgeous against both the green grass and blue sky. we don't have many ginkgo's around here.
they have berries that are not very, um, pleasant, right? i think we used to call them "stink bombs" in grammar school and fling them at each other!
So that's what my gorgeous pressed leaves are. They are fabulous. Great photos.
I love Ginkgo's so much as well. I remember the pair on our art school campus would drop all their leaves in a day. It would rain ginkgo!
