Sometimes I'm glad to read about other very tall ('statuesque'?!) women ... I find it frustrating when average-sized people can't relate to my experiences, although I guess I shouldn't really expect them to.
My sister sent me this link to an interesting article and reader comments about being super-tall/-short etc. Food for thought ...

i clock in at 183cm (6') so I hear your pain.
I can never find jeans.
I used to be considered tall..5'7"...and never, EVER, wanted to be short.
These days, I can't get slacks, trousers SHORT enough since more women are much much taller.
