For several years my hubby and I have been thinking about getting a little dachshund.

I would love a dachshund too but J - not so much. I enjoyed dog sitting one in Brooklyn last spring though - what a treat to take a dog for a walk who could not pull my arm off, and when it was time to go into a cafe to buy a cup of coffee, up she went into my arms. Adorable. Love these dog photos.

You should definitely get yourself a little sausage dog. I have two and they're the light of my life!
I agree with Celeste. Even though my heart is set on terriers (Jacks in particular), I do love the dachshound. My family has had a few of these dogs, and they can be such characters!
