Miss Buttons
I met Angela at a CAE course last year.... she produces lovely little Sew-Your-Own kits for Miss Buttons; these represent just one part of her many creative pursuits. The kits are available at shops such as Douglas and Hope and Genki in Melbourne, as well as online. Looks like a good little project for a rainy day!

Mushroom feet
Ha! Lizette Greco creates quirky toys and bags from children's drawings....
Some of them are rather absurd.

Patterns to make you smile
Melbourne designer Lara Cameron's work makes me so happy - when I discovered her beautiful paper, fabric, card and jewellery designs I was thrilled .... this is exactly the style of design that I wish I could create myself. I certainly feel inspired, and I love the fact that these beautiful things are all being produced locally!
Lara's Kirin Notebook is also full of lovely ideas ....

Anagram
The good people at the Czech bookshop Anagram are using these beautiful images for their promotions:
I bought one of my favourite books at Anagram in Prague in 2001, and I found these images on Monica Calvo's lovely blog.

If you had a giraffe, and he stretched another half ...
I've always loved Shel Silverstein's books, and I found his website today - the animations are absolutely delightful!

Aprons!
Who'd have thought I'd become so crafty??? I'm really into wonderful fabrics and papers these days and keen to get sewing. Last night I started on an apron, with inspiration from Amy King's Tie One On.
I particularly like these contributions from crafty bloggers to her Flickr apron galleries.

Birthday treasures
Yesterday I shared a very happy day with friends, eating luscious food (thanks Bec for the exquisite little cakes!) and feeling spoilt with all the beautiful presents.
A lovely Phalaenopsis orchid now brightens our bathroom, and G gave me Lotta Jansdotter's book - I couldn't sleep last night for thinking about sewing!

Delicate industria
I found some beautiful metalwork by sculptor Cal Lane today .... apparently she achieves this amazing degree of delicacy with an industrial blow torch, burning out the organic patterning as she goes.
