Two-colours? Gorgeous!

“In these newly preserved tests, made in 1922 at the Paragon Studios in Fort Lee, New Jersey, actress Mae Murray is joined by actress Hope Hampton modeling costumes from The Light in the Dark (1922), which contained the first commercial use of Two-Color Kodachrome in a feature film. Ziegfeld Follies actress Mary Eaton and an unidentified woman and child also appear.”

The Artist

I really want to see this movie ... have you seen it?

Is it as fabulous as the trailer suggests?

Snap!

As if you needed convincing ....

Here's a selection of original pictures from the different eras replicated so beautifully by Retro Atelier (for comparison).

It appears to be morning. Very incovenient, I agree.

Oh, I can't help but love Stephen Fry! And none will ever surpass the fabulousness that saw Messrs Fry and Laurie bring Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster to life in the most delicious way....

When in need of a giggle my beloved and I frequently turn to the Jeeves and Wooster DVD collection, pick up the Wodehouse omnibus or pop the CD of Wooster's warblings on the stereo .... ... but what did I find today?

This clock.

I say! Jolly good show, old chap! We, too, can now awake to the dulcet tones of Jeeves (voiced of course by Mr Fry), inviting us gently to arise and face the day.

If you're a Jeeves and Wooster fan too, you might also like these inspired pendant lights. They're slap on the button!

Nina's Hair Parlour

I wish I knew of a hair stylist like Nina in Melbourne ....

Her endless lament

~ another one of those worrying adverts selling questionable products for (... shhhh! ....) 'exclusively feminine purposes'.

I can't quite remember where I found this one.
